Upcoming CPE Unit with Virtual Option

September 2023 to March 2024

We are excited to let you know about a new option for the fall extended unit of CPE. A shared offering from St. Paul’s Hospital, Saskatoon and Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home, Regina. If you are looking for professional development, university credit, and a place to develop personalized learning goals, CPE is a great learning opportunity. Our program teaches skills and competencies for professional spiritual care and can lead to certification with Canadian Association of Spiritual Care (CASC/ACSS.)

Supervised by Julie Bergen, CSE and Erika Mills, PSE.

We have availability for three students per learning site. Tuition is $1350 plus required student membership and insurance with CASC/ACSS, approximately $200. Applications are due July 1, 2023.

This is a two-day per week commitment: one day in class with a small peer group and one day of clinical experience providing spiritual care. The class component will meet online and students are required to have necessary technology to fully engage with the group.

Preference will be given to students pursuing professional spiritual care, students completing CPE as part of a degree program, students who self-identify as Indigenous, and those who can practice onsite.
